Lord Anjeneya was playing in his childhood saw the scorching Sun in the Sky thought it was a ripe fruit and wanted to eat it, so he pounced towards the Sun veryyyy fastly. Seeing Vayuputran flying towards the Sun to gobble the Sun, Devarargal tried to stop him ,but nobody could do it. So Rahu bagvan tried to eclipse Sun but he could not compete the speed of Hanuman. Atlast Rahu bagvan pleaded Anjeneyar to stop him then told him who ever worshiped Hanuman will not be affected by Rahu, further told whoever offered mala in the shape of snake (i.e.) crispy vada made of urad dhall(ulundu) will be nullified with the doshas of Raghu Bagvan.
Apart from this worshipping Lord Hanuman will appease the dosha of Shanieswaran and Naga dosha.
One should prepare this vada very cleanly and piously.
